Social Artist and registered Art Psychotherapist

For over thirty years I’ve practised as a social artist, engaging individuals, groups and communities through a range of creative approaches. I’m interested in using the arts to improve individual and collective wellbeing, and especially in empowering staff (e.g., in health settings) to deliver services more creatively.

I’m passionate about the importance of co-planning and evaluating projects with partners and, where possible, participants too. I’ve always endeavoured to build high quality documentation into the evolving creative process, because that kind of investment and its legacy promotes genuine and lasting change.

In 2015 I became a qualified and HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist.
