Social Artist and registered Art Psychotherapist

For over thirty years I’ve practised as a social artist, engaging individuals, groups and communities through a range of creative approaches. I’m interested in using the arts to improve individual and collective wellbeing, and especially in helping carers and staff (e.g., in health settings) to practise more creatively.

I’m passionate about the importance of co-planning and evaluating projects with partners and, where possible, participants too, and incorporate high quality documentation into the evolving creative process. These kinds of investments and their legacies promote genuine and lasting change.

In 2015 I became a qualified and HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist.
